What is the Youth Ministry Group?

Thursday, September 19, 2019
What is the youth group? We are trying to get the message out so more young people have a clear understanding. The next few weeks I am going to try to help more young people realize who we are and what is our mission. Basically, we are an inclusive group. Over the years we have had a diverse and all inclusive program.  You do not have to be the "chosen ones."  Many times people say to me can you send me your best kids we need something done. My answer is always, "we will all be there".  None of us are the "best". Who is the judge of that. Not me. This only means we are all equal.  "No one is more important than the other, however we are important to each other." That is the basis.  The youth group has always been a place where anyone can come and join. Our weekly discussions are designed so that all of us can speak freely without judgement about anything. We are not the good youth or the bad youth. We are the youth group. Over the years five young people have come into the church fully. This means some may have been baptized or were not Catholic. They decided on their own after being involved and found a place they fit into. Not because of me. They did this because of the youth group. We did not indoctrinate. We simply followed one rule.  "Love one another as I have loved you" It is that simple. All we need is patience.
