I look around the world and I see an uninformed narrative everywhere. People jump on things without hesitation or the ability to take a step back and research the situation. We cannot seem to wait a minute in this world we live in. Most everyone is a hero tweeting about this or that. Social media gives a platform for those who do not have the courage of their convictions. Few of us know how to have a civil conversation face to face. We hide behind our devices. We clutch the adult pacifier, (our smart phones), waiting and willing to send something at a moments notice. We wonder who will "like" us. Truths get distorted and no one apologizes for the mistruths. I think about the Covington catholic children. How they were crucified, especially one young man. I saw an adult on television saying he wanted to smack the grin off his face. No apology. I cannot think of a time when the truths of the world had become so misguided. The false narratives embellished. Even now so many are unwilling to accept the truths. Oh, wait a minute, this has happened before. We will be reminded of this during holy week. Thank God we can be reminded each year and embrace the one who loves us all. The greatest lesson we learned was "Forgive them for they know not what they do".
